Poem: As A Muslim, I Don't Celebrate Valentine's Day.

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
💌 Glad tidings to those clever enough to realize
What's real and what isn't, so they don't do Valentine's.
What non-Muslim couples do they don't romanticize,
Aware that most of their affairs are not legalized.
To avoid commemorating zina we're obliged.
~•~
On the fourteenth of February, we're not required
To purchase heart-shaped cakes, to wear pink or red attire,
To send roses or cards, to buy gifts to signify
Profound love, or for Muslim couples to dine outside
Beside lovers whose "love" lives aren't legitimized.
~•~
This day being celebrated by thousands worldwide
Can't justify it even if one's niyyah is right.
A Muslim wife can express her love each day and night
To her husband in ways where she doesn't sacrifice
Her faith/Imaan to match misguided people's desires.
~•~
A Muslim husband doesn't need to cutely describe
His gratitude for each woman whom he calls his 'wife'
On Valentine's day, as he knows it's not justified.
If you love your spouse for Allah, softly verbalize
Your feelings in loving Du'as every day and night.
~•~
Forget watching romantic movies on Valentine's.
Remember that unbelievers cannot be admired
For their wrong beliefs and practices unsanctified.
We're not old-fashioned, closed-minded, not full of vile pride.
As Allah's servants, we strive to leave what He dislikes.
~•~

Poem: When You're Contented With Allah's Love, You Won't Require Friendship With His Servants

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
💌 You're not missing out on much if you're uninvited
And excluded from gatherings where actors gossip,
Where insecure frenemies disclose others' secrets
And people's flaws or faults are from their usual topics.
Your absence from such groups keeps your good deeds protected.
~•~
You're not missing out on enjoying someone's friendship
If most of their online posts are passive-aggressive,
If they selectively tag users, being childish,
To make you doubt yourself or desire their fake kindness,
And overall the vibes they give off are too toxic.
~•~
You won't miss out, don't worry, if you got unfriended
By users who can't tolerate feeling so jealous
Each time you share some tips or helpful status updates,
Or they expect you to chase them once you're deleted.
Accept it's not Allah's Qadr you'd stay connected.
~•~
Despised by certain people? Rejected? Avoided?
Maybe it's your love for Allah which causes conflict,
Their attachment to dunya that makes you unwanted,
Your eagerness to thrive that brings their disinterest,
And by your strong faith/Imaan they're intimidated.
~•~
Talk to Allah more, and you won't notice loneliness.
Instances when you're solo are chances to read, rest,
Research, study, say Dhikr, introspect and reflect.
Listen to lectures often, recite Qur'an verses,
And know when Allah loves us, His slaves aren't needed.

📖 Abu Huraira RadhiAllahu 'anhu narrated that the Messenger of Allah SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "The Mufarridun (the isolated or those who like to isolate themselves) have gone ahead (in gaining rewards)." He was asked, "Who are the Mufarridun?" He SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam replied, "Those men and women who remember Allah much."

Poem: When You Know The Main Purpose Of Our Life, You Won't Consider Suicide As It's A Major Sin

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
💌 When Allah is the main reason why you choose to live,
And you're grateful for the gifts Allah chooses to give,
Accepting Allah's Qadr, aware all things are His,
And you're patient with the tests that Allah selected,
Suicide won't be an option - you won't consider it.
~•~
It's so disrespectful for students taking a test
To angrily tear their exam sheets, stating "we quit!"
When their time isn't up and they abandon their seats.
Permission to leave the room wasn't even granted
Yet they left, unaware of the vice in what they did.
~•~
Life is a brief examination, take note of this.
The stronger your faith in Allah is, the more hardships.
As you advance further in striving to be pious,
From all the knowledge of Islam Allah provided,
Challenges increase and Allah knows you can make it.
~•~
Know the main purpose in life isn't to get married,
Not to taste perfect romance, not to raise many kids,
Not to be liked by all, look flawless nor be famous,
Not to gain status from being erudite or rich,
But to serve Allah through good deeds and sincere worship.
~•~
No stable job? Low income? No house that can impress?
No loved ones nearby? No close friends who can be trusted?
Tired of instances when you feel lost or frustrated?
Stressed by loads of problems, worries or current crisis?
~•~
Don't be upset. As long as by Allah we're guided
To be upright, and from ignorance we are shielded,
We can survive with Allah's Will, far from shaytan's tricks.
It's shaytan who advocates impatience, cowardice,
And selfishness so Muslims fail to complete their tests.
~•~
When shaytan suggests, "kill yourself. Your life is pointless.
No one cares about you. You're a failure. You're useless."
Remember, Allah is the real reason why we live.
Jannah, not earth, is where we'll find everlasting bliss.

Note: The Permissibility To Pray The Janaaza Prayer Over Muslims Who Killed Themselves Though Suicide Is A Major Sin

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
📋 Question: "We found a dead person tied to a tree and around his neck was a rope. We do not know if he killed himself with it, or someone hung him there after killing him (so it appears as if he took his own life). If this man committed suicide, can the Muslims pray over his body?"
Summarized answer:
If the individual who died was known to be Muslim, whether he committed the major sin of suicide or he was murdered, a number of Muslims should pray the funeral/Janaaza prayer over him. A Muslim's sins, major or minor, do not cancel the obligation of some Muslims to pray over him and wash his body. He is also allowed to be buried in a Muslim cemetery since suicide does not take a person outside of the fold of Islam.
Allah the Almighty is the One to decide who He forgives and grants entry to Jannah Paradise.
May Allah the Most Merciful forgive all Muslims, grant the Muslim Ummah more guidance and patience to deal with the temporary trials in dunya. Ameen.

Poem: Avoid False Assumptions. Leave People's Intentions To Allah The All-Knowing.

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
💌 Is your heart pure enough to think well of a Muslim?
When some post Islamic reminders, your reaction
Is 'MashaAllah', 'May Allah accept it from them',
Or 'Message noted' instead of 'show-off!', 'not again',
And 'clearly they're desperate for people's attention.'?
~•~
Is your heart clean enough to not allow assumptions
To disturb your way of thinking and upset Muslims?
When you're notified of news about a teen's passing,
Can you ensure thoughts like 'was it suicide?' don't creep in?
Instead of studying why they died, you pray for them.
~•~
Can your heart be pure enough to resist welcoming
Evil suggestions about a Muslim's intentions?
When they ask personal questions, they're not attempting
To flirt, frighten or cause emotional disturbance.
No response? Maybe they're busy or they've forgotten.
~•~
And when they share good news or stories with merriment,
Can you avoid assuming they're pridefully bragging?
And when some friends once more decline your invitation,
Can you let go of your ego and disappointment,
Understanding they have lives too, and be forgiving?
~•~
When a number of Muslims request for donations,
Can you assure you won't entertain the assumption
That they're merely begging for their selfish enjoyment,
And the money they collect is for their amusement,
As earning cash is fast when you play with emotions?
~•~
Can your heart be clean enough to shun suppositions
That your husband is cheating when he speaks to women,
That a friend doesn't care about you when they seldom
React to your Facebook status updates or comment,
And that you're a failure if you're low on affluence?
~•~
What about Allah Almighty, the Most Forgiving?
Can you purify your heart with determination
And believe that Allah can forgive all of your sins?
Pure hearts devoid of unjust guesses and suspicion
Do not suspect. Leave the people to Allah's Judgment.
~•~
📖 Abu Huraira RadhiAllahu 'anhu narrated: Allah's noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "Beware of suspicion, for suspicion is the most false of tales. Do not seek out faults, do not spy on each other, do not contend with each other, do not envy each other, do not hate each other, and do not turn away from each other. Rather, be servants of Allah as brothers."
