📖 Abdullah Ibn Mas’ud RadhiAllahu 'anhu narrated: Allah's noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "Whoever recites a letter from the Book of Allah (The Noble Qur'an), he will receive one good deed (in his record of deeds) as ten good deeds like it. I do not say that 'Alif Laam Meem' is one letter, but rather 'Alif' is a letter, 'Laam' is a letter, and 'Meem' is a letter."

📖 Abdullah Ibn Amr RadhiAllahu 'anhu narrated: Allah's noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "Fasting and the Qur'an will intercede for the servant on the Day of Resurrection. Fasting will say: 'O Lord, I prevented him from food and drink during the day, so let me intercede for him.' The Qur'an will say: 'O Lord, I prevented him from sleeping during the night, so let me intercede for him.' Thus, they will both intercede for him."

📖 Aisha RadhiAllahu 'anha narrated: Allah's noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "The example of one who reads the Qur'an and memorizes It is that of one with the ‘righteous and noble scribes’ (The Noble Qur'an 80:15). The example of one who reads the Qur'an and is committed to It, although it is difficult for him, is that of one with a double reward."

🗒️ Some notes on paying the Zakat Al-Fitr: 

° Its ruling: Fardh / obligatory. 

° Who should pay the Zakat Al-Fitr: All Muslims, whether young or old, male or female, who fasted and who did not fast. The parents should also pay on behalf of the fetus (or fetuses) in the pregnant mother's womb. 

° Why Zakat Al-Fitr should be paid: To compensate for any shortcoming, improper behavior and inappropriate acts that one has committed during Ramadan. To obey Allah the Almighty and His noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam, instead of questioning Allah's legislations. So the wealthier Muslims benefit from the many rewards of doing charity for Allah's sake while the poor are not neglected and they have sufficient sustenance in the days after Ramadan.

° When to pay the Zakat Al-Fitr: Preferably in the earlier part of the morning before the Eid prayer (could be after praying Tahajjud) or the night before Eid Al-Fitr. You may pay the Zakat Al-Fitr one day or two days before the Eid prayers if it is more convenient. 

° Who should receive the Zakat Al-Fitr: The poor and needy who are financially struggling (not one's own family members). 

° How much should the Zakat Al-Fitr be: Exactly one saa' or two and a half kilograms (or three kilograms) of rice, wheat, barley, dates, flour etc. It must not be less than one saa'. It is okay if the Zakat Al-Fitr weighs more than three kilograms.

° Can the Zakat Al-Fitr be paid in the form of cash so the poor can use it in the manner which they believe is more useful for them? No. That would be going against what Allah's noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam commanded. Zakat Al-Fitr must be paid before praying the Eid prayers in the form of food, not money. 

Allah the Almighty knows best.

📖 Ibn Abbas RadhiAllahu 'anhuma narrated: The Messenger of Allah SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam obligated Zakat Al-Fitr as a purification of the fasting person from vain talk and misbehavior (during Ramadan), as food for the poor. Whoever pays it before the Eid prayer, it is accepted as Zakah. Whoever pays it after the Eid prayer, it is part of (Sadaqah) voluntary charity.

📖 Ibn Umar RadhiAllahu 'anhuma narrated: The Messenger of Allah SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam made it an obligation (fardh/waajib) to pay charity (Zakah) at the end of Ramadan, a portion of dates or barely, upon the slave and the freeman, the male and the female, the young and the old among the Muslims. The Prophet SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam ordered it to be given before people go out for the Eid prayer.

📜 Question: In our country, Zakat Al-Fitr is paid in the form of money, since the poor do not want grains (rice, wheat, barley etc.) and the like. So what do we do?

📝 Answer: The issue is not about what the poor want. This (paying the Zakat Al-Fitr) is an act of worship which must be carried out and fulfilled in the way of the noble Prophet Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam. 

Whoever does not want the food (the package of rice, barley, dates etc. equal to one saa' or two and a half - about three- kilograms), then they are not really needy. Give it (the Zakat Al-Fitr) to the actually needy person who can receive the food.

Poem: What It Means To Actually Maintain Good Character

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

💌 Having good character, being "mabait" or kind, 

Doesn't mean giving freebies to people all the time. 

Some may be so shy, unable to fight for their rights, 

Yet when they're among close friends, they reveal their bad side 

When they tell lies, make fun of people's flaws and backbite.

Three signs of Muslims who are blessed with good character, 

Genuine manners maintained for Allah, with Sabr: 

One: They intensely hate backbiting and gossipers, 

Aware that Allah always hears each word we utter, 

And laughing at others' defects indicates kibr.

Two: They forgive and move on, don't waste time on revenge. 

They don't hatefully stalk profiles of their opponents, 

Don't insist on winning each debate and argument, 

And offline, if you know them, they're primarily silent, 

Occupied with Du'a, Adhkaar, and self-reflection.

Three: They try their best to treat Allah's servants fairly. 

Cheerful around salespeople, janitors, and colleagues, 

Being the first to greet with the salaam frequently,

And not treating low-income workers unpleasantly, 

They strive to apply proper ethics consistently.

You've no right to describe somebody as "rude" or "mean" 

If you're not well acquainted, if you converse rarely, 

And if you can't understand the whys behind their deeds. 

Good character is to be nice without being weak, 

Dealing with Allah's slaves with wise justice and mercy.

📖 Abu Umamah RadhiAllahu 'anhu narrated: Allah's noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "Whoever loves for the sake of Allah, hates for the sake of Allah, gives for the sake of Allah, and withholds for the sake of Allah has perfected the faith."

💭 "I love my husband so much that I can't share him with another woman, yet the love I have for Allah the Almighty is far greater than the affection and compassion I have for my beloved spouse, thus Allah the Most Loving enlightened me to stay patient. Lovingly submitting to Allah's Will, I'm contentedly fine if my man is married to up to four wives. It's his absolute right granted by Allah the Most Wise which cannot be denied. While his tender lips may have touched those of so and so, his sweet gestures often mesmerizing this and that, my dear husband still remains as my destined other half. Our love may be vividly complicated that its formula to me may be more complex than the most intricate algebraic problem devoid of an apparent solution, yet because my love for Allah the Most Generous is a lot weightier than loving my soulmate, as Allah's Magnificent Wisdom in His Destiny supersedes infinity, I choose to love my hubby for Allah's sake faithfully, stubbornly and patiently. There are plenty of fishes in the sea." because ever since Allah Al-Hakeem connected my heart to that man's so we became each other's halves, I fell peacefully in love - a special box of emotions entangled to each other into a tightened knot which I refuse to untie as I'm not the kind that wants to satisfy enemies by abruptly giving up. 

I want our love to continue Inn-sha-Allah until we make it to Jannah Paradise above, where all desires are met, Muslim loved ones are reunited, and where we'll look back to our former tests which we've passed with Allah's Will, and we become even more grateful that we didn't stop doing the good deeds that made us earn Allah's Love."

Ali Al-Qari said, "That she prostrates to her husband is due to the number of his rights over her and her difficulty in maintaining gratitude for them. This rhetorical point conveys the obligation of the wife to obey her husband in his rights. Indeed, prostration is not lawful to anyone other than Allah Subhaanahu wa Ta'aala."
