Note: Some Reminders From An INTJ Muslimah (92)

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

Note: Some Lessons Learned To Share From Another Maranao Wedding We Attended

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

🌻 May Allah the Almighty always bless the marriage of dear Norjana Disalongan Sarip Lomala Sansarona with her husband captain Candidato Sharief Paduman, protect them and all their Muslim loved ones always and increase the barakah blessings in their lives and grant them only what is good for them in both worlds. Ameen.

JazakAllahu Khair to dear atti Hamida (Umm Hanan) and her loving husband for inviting us to attend the wedding of one of their daughters which was held yesterday at Sunny Point Hotel here in Davao city from around 1 PM to about 5 PM.

Now I understand better why some people can't always be invited to attend some weddings due to limited seats. The hosts usually prioritize inviting immediate relatives and those whom they believe are most closest to them if the wedding is held at a hotel.

Weddings held outdoors, say in open spaces or fields, or in a basketball court or at someone's residence, can generally accommodate a lot more guests than weddings which take place at luxury hotels.

✅ Some lessons learned to share:
1💎 If some Muslim families or friends did not invite you to a wedding, be contented. Patiently accept Allah's Qadr/Destiny and confidently respect those Muslims' decision. Maybe they had limited seats available or they genuinely forgot to include you in their long list of invitees as they were extremely busy with numerous tasks and responsibilities.

2💎 If somebody directly invited you to their wedding or wedding of one of their loved ones, do not feel tempted to invite several other human beings just because you were invited, because too many guests can lead to some inconvenience for other visitors who were invited to attend the same social event, unless you asked the hosts first if they're absolutely okay with you adding two or three more individuals to accompany you. Yesterday I noticed that several chairs were being used by children while a number of elderly guests were searching for seats. I believe that the hosts specified the right number of guests they can invite so the lack of seats probably meant that some extras (likely from the groom's side?) weren't supposed to be at the event if there's a limited number of seats. It is from good manners and basic etiquettes
Inn-sha-Allah to not bring along those whose names were not recorded in the hosts' list of limited invitees. More seats means extra charges and we should be considerate enough to not want the hosts to spend more than what is reasonable for them.

3💎 Attend a wedding sincerely for Allah's sake and be kind enough to bring a wedding gift instead of showing up empty-handed. If you couldn't purchase some items to give the bride and groom something useful and meaningful, you can
Inn-sha-Allah send them your wedding gift some time after their wedding.
Giving gifts for Allah's sake is another way to strengthen connections. And if you can't give any present due to temporary financial restraints, then you could at least send the bride and groom or their parents/guardians some messages to sincerely congratulate them.
Don't simply attend a gathering without even thanking the hosts for inviting you.

Being wholeheartedly grateful to others is one of the positive characteristics of Allah's pious Muslim servants.

Poem: My Husband Being Loved By Allah The Most Wise Makes Me Happier Than Any Temporary Luxury

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
💚 While some wives around the world celebrate with extreme
Joy when they receive from the husband iPhone sixteen
Or whatever brand they got which costs loads of money,
I'm one of those wives who outwardly and inwardly
Express happiness when my dear spouse arrives safely
From Hajj or Umrah - or from a different country.
While most seek affluence, I desire my friend's safety.
~•~
I'd rather smile with contentment whenever I see
My beloved hubby spending his earnings wisely
Than to act like silly gold-diggers so greedily
Demanding my soulmate to spoil me financially,
Assuming I'm attached to dunya temporary
When that's not the case at all in actuality -
I want him to compete with me for Jannah's entry.
~•~
It's fine if the allowance he gives me frequently
Can't be perceived as "much" or "impressive" by many.
Alhamdulillah. It's sufficient as long as he
Strives to ensure his wealth isn't ribaa/usury
Nor stolen money. I guarantee his piety
Is much more important to me than material greed.
My husband's firm belief exceeds this world's luxuries.
~•~
My spouse is from Allah's blessings, I firmly believe,
As loving my husband for Allah the Almighty
Moved me to write a large portion of my poetry,
To rhyme creatively and enhance my loyalty.
Though my husband doesn't preach or teach, he lovingly
Inspires my patience for Allah, thus reminding me
To strive for Jannah where bliss is enjoyed perfectly.

Note: Even If You Are Not Close Friends With Some Muslims Try To Mention Them In Your Loving Prayers Often

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

🗒️ Allah the Almighty knows best. Yesterday Thursday there were some reminders from Facebook regarding the "birthday" of one of our late colleagues and former teachers sister Morsida Pandao who passed away in the previous year. Although I don't celebrate birthdays Alhamdulillah and never have celebrated anybody's birthday ever since our stay in Saudi Arabia for many years, I have some good memories Alhamdulillah of dear sister Morsida Pandao one of which was, besides her being a generally approachable Muslimah who had a cheerful countenance much of the time despite her health issues which she never informed us about until after it was obvious she wasn't feeling well, is that time on a Jumuah Friday when we prayed beside each other and she shared with me the prayer mat that she was praying on. I also recall how she often would read from the Noble Qur'an in a quiet corner while other teachers were working on some tasks etc. I feel a bit sad we couldn't pasyal pasyal together at least once due to busy schedules and insufficient funds on several occasions. But I ask Allah the Almighty to have mercy on dear sister Morsida Pandao and her family always, to reunite us with her in Jannah Paradise and to protect us from every torment of both worlds and bless us with full peace and contentment in this dunya, al-barzakh and the afterlife. Ameen. If I could send her a message, but I know for sure she can't read these messages because we're in different places, I would tell her that
Inn-sha-Allah we can meet again and have much better time and moments spent together in Jannah Paradise.

May Allah the Most Merciful forgive her if she had any debts and keep her at ease in this world and reunite us in Jannatul Ferdaus with Allah's Mercy. Ameen.

Poem: Some Advice To My Daughter And Her Half-Sister Regarding Polygyny

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

💚 To my loving daughter and Zara, her half-sister,
Some tips from one who, for Allah's sake, loves your father,
Truly even if he was married to another -
And to each wife who may have thought, wondered or uttered
"I do not oppose polygyny. As a matter
Of fact, I know it's halal - a test for tough lovers.
I'm not as strong as them. It's not for me but others."
~•~
Without a doubt, Allah the Most Wise gave men the right
To be married legally to a max. of four wives,
Not to spoil men while some wives suffer, complain or cry,
But to increase the number of pious kids worldwide,
Or to strengthen ties between different clans and tribes,
Or train men to show wisdom in managing their time,
Or teach women to control their feelings and tame pride.
~•~
Polygyny may not appeal to most at first, but
For something to be the correct choice it's not a must
For it to be the most common or most well thought of.
Often what seems strange or unpopular is what's loved
By our Creator Allah the Almighty above
If that action involves humans humbly giving up
Selfishness and the kind of attachment that destructs.
~•~
Really loving your husband for Allah doesn't mean
"You can have only one wife. That wife is only me.
Keep just one wife. You exclusively belong to me."
But real love for Allah's sake can state confidently:
"Dear husband, I'm here as your wife for Allah Only.
That you have a right to remarry I do believe,
And seeing you lawfully happy brings inner peace."
~•~
Your spouse loving another doesn't mean you're loved less.
Take moments when they're together as chances to rest,
Opportunities to enhance strength to pass brief tests,
And self-reminders that you're doing your very best
For Allah to stay loyal, preserve this blessed marriage,
And prove your patience outweighs emotional distress,
Aware of Jannah's bliss, eager to be rewarded.
~•~
While I can't convince all to welcome polygyny,
I advise myself and all to bravely, patiently
And sincerely accept Allah's Qadr/Destiny -
That Allah granted many males the ability
To love and care for more than one woman faithfully.
So persevere if Allah decreed that you would be
One of your husband's wives. After each challenge comes ease.
