💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
💌
You can tell how strong the faith/Imaan of some Muslims is when, even if
they're surrounded by non-Muslims, their Islamic identity and application of
Islam never leave them. For instance, if it is Ramadan and you happen to be a
student at an institute where the majority of students are not Muslims, you
continue fasting the obligatory fast even if your classmates and teachers are
eating and drinking in your presence. If you're a hijabi or niqabi, you
maintain the proper hijab and modest manners in spite of seeing most women
around you dressed immodestly. When the time for Salah/prayer arrives, you're
not ashamed of performing wudhu/ablution in the public bathrooms and praying in
a quiet corner at work, school or while shopping at a mall, not minding the
stares of curious onlookers and passersby.
As a Muslimah, if you're aware of how it's not appropriate to be touchy-feely with non-mahram men, you avoid physical contact with them as much as possible, even if they confirm they're gay/homosexual. In a similar manner Muslim men should abstain from purposely touching females who are not their mahrams, even if refusing a handshake from a non-mahram woman could offend her feelings. If you're at a social gathering, conference, or work-related event, where the majority of attendees are non-Muslims, your obedience to Allah Subhaanahu wa Ta'aala and allegiance to Allah's Rulings are not forgotten. Thus when pork and alcoholic beverages are served or offered, you confidently refuse them without feeling guilty.
Optional events which go against Islamic values and religious customs, such as parties related to Halloween, Christmas, New Years celebration, Valentine's Day, and school prom, are easy for you to cancel unapologetically. With Allah's guidance and protection, you're able to implement Allah's Laws as a Muslim, even if your parents and elders aren't there to supervise you. You understand that Allah Subhaanahu wa Ta'aala is watching you at all times and Jannah Paradise is your ultimate destination, so you strive to be an obedient Muslim to your best ability, regardless of people's negative feedback, as you persist in obeying Allah even if those who obey His Commands are very few.
📖 Aisha RadhiAllahu 'anha narrated: Allah's noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "Whoever seeks the pleasure of Allah by displeasing the people, Allah will suffice him against the people. Whoever seeks the pleasure of people by displeasing Allah, Allah will leave him to the patronage of the people."
