Note: On Friendship For Allah's Sake

💌 If your niyyah/intention of befriending a person is to seek worldly gain, to network with them mainly to take part in the material joys that they're enjoying, or to upgrade your reputation by being connected, your connection isn't guaranteed to last long since it's not meant for Allah's sake and dunya matters are temporary.
A friendship is more likely to continue Inn-sha-Allah even until you and your friends reunite in Jannah Paradise if it is founded upon good intention, regardless of living in different cities and without making it a necessity to have daily communication.
Since Jannatul Ferdaus is the ultimate destination which you and your chosen companions strive for, you are content loving one another genuinely for Allah's sake, cherishing the good memories with them in your heart and mentioning their names in frequent Du'as/supplications.
