Poem: Types Of Toxic Friends We Must Avoid

💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
💌 Nine types of "toxic friends" to avoid for Allah's sake,
Not out of pride but to preserve wellness of our faith:
One: Those who pretend to like you but their love is fake,
Who envy you and damage your name when you're away.
~*~
Two: Those who insist on Bid'ah and committing sins,
Whose presence brings bad vibes and negative influence.
Three: Those who refuse to understand your depression,
And who assume your complaints are cries for attention.
~*~
Four: Those who want you to support them yet they don't cheer
Nor encourage you, and the one-sidedness is clear.
Five: Those who criticize others, ridicule, and jeer
At people's flaws, and spread gossip when you're far or near.
~*~
Six: Those who hate any of your family members,
Who dislike seeing you and your loved ones together.
Seven: Those who see your problems as laughing matter,
Who can't advise yet emphasize their life is tougher.
~*~
Eight: The nosy ones who don't respect your privacy,
Who expect you to reveal secrets and chat daily.
Nine: The jealous ones who try to one up and compete,
Who feel down whenever they find you whole or complete.
~*~
The kind of friends who deserve your Du'as and friendship
Are those who inspire, don't require you to be perfect,
Who love you for Allah only, who stay connected
Even if you're far and they're not always updated.
~*~
Value yourself enough to let go of "toxic friends",
While maintaining manners and answering their greetings.
Choose good companions who cause your faith to be strengthened
And whose pure hearts never let them doubt your intention.
