💌 Every second of each day and night is important,
A gift from Allah, and chance to do deeds that please Him.
So try your best to avoid wasting time and moments
On matters and people who damage your well-being.

The right kind of souls who deserve our focused presence
And attention include those who want their faith strengthened,
Whose words consist of Dhikr and reminders often,
And in learning Islam they show enthusiasm.

Respect yourself enough to grant distance/avoidance
From those whose companionship is a bad influence.
Their enjoyment of mocking others and backbiting
Is better far or forgotten for your protection.

Chatting with clowns who ridicule people’s shortcomings
And jokers who cowardly indulge in gossiping
Just drains your energy and lets you gain people’s sins.
Save your record of good actions by avoiding them.

By doing that you’re being careful, not arrogant,
As people can be described by their close companions.
Spend time with those who love Allah, seek Jannah/Heaven,
And whose love for you isn’t fitna but a blessing.

📖 Ibn Abbas RadhiAllahu ‘anhuma narrated: Allah’s noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, “Take advantage of five before five: Your youth before your old age, your health before your illness, your riches before your poverty, your free time before your work, and your life before your death.”
